I will be here almost every day after school - just ask - you can come in for help, to print out things, for supplies, ideas and more! USE YOUR RESOURCES!
Project is due at the end of March; however, you may turn it in earlier if you are finished.

January/February

DOCUMENT EVERYTHING FOR YOUR ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY
I suggest using Diigo to keep all of your bookmarks organized.  Diigo also let you add sticky notes and annotations to websites, copy parts of a website, flag sites to look at later and share with others.

We will go over all the ways to make research a breeze - including bibliographies!  Make use of that ISBN number!  Make use of the online library resources!
Minimum - 2 Internet sources, 2 books, journals, periodicals. 
Remember that Plagiarism is using of other peoples' work and not giving them the credit they deserve.
Create an Annotated Bibliography (divided between primary and secondary sources).
Online services: select MLA format enter annotations for each reference

Complete a Topic Research sheet
Develop a thesis statement - your thesis statement will tell in 1 or 2 sentences what you project will prove or analyze.  Find primary and secondary sources to support your statement.  

Choose a topic and try to stick with it!!!  Your mission is to become the expert historian on your topic.

Research! Encyclopedia of Chicago can get you started and so will many secondary sources; however, you will need to get out and research primary sources - books magazines, newspapers, maps and more. Recommended Websites for Primary Sources on Chicago History
